actually, everyone is selfish. we all hope that people whom we love, when they smile, is because of us. we all hope that people whom we love, love us back the same. we all want to be recognised for what we have done. though we always say never mind, but in actual fact, we do dont we?
sometimes, we expect too much from people around us. we expect them to behave to what we expect, we expect them to do things we expect. we set so much expectations for people, but then, we never once did try to even reach the expectations people have on us. when we know that people arent happy because we din meet theirs, we would complain saying how selfish are them. but, who are we to even complain, when we ourselves are doing so?
guess, humans are just self-centered.
hey hey. i aint trying to bring anyone down here. i'm just stating my thoughts. of course, there are beautiful things about people. afterall, we are all God's creation right? anyway, i guess, this is just a reminder to myself to not be self-centered and to really think for others. of course to not demand that people whom i love would love me back the same or that i'm the real reason they are happy. because the real reason we should be happy is because He lives in us.
and yes, before i forget. i was chatting with a tourist from melbourne. she came to singapore with her son from the phillipines and singapore is their second destination and they will be going to m'sia and indonesia before returning back to melbourne. and she told me she's a high school teacher yadayada. and she told me she have 2 extra jobs too. and i was quite amazed. like wow, she got the time to do all these that she has interest in and stuff. then i asked whether this trip is only her son and herself and she said yes cause her husband passed away when her son was very very young. no wonder she took up 3 jobs, so that she can give her son a better life. her love for her son, i'm seriously amazed. she just dote on her son so much, taking him out of aussie for a month for him to be exposed to the different places and all. its really wow. then we stopped chatting after awhile, you see, i got to work. then when her son came back up from the ride, he just hugged his mum and kissed her. it's really a pretty sight.
can you sense God telling me about unconditional love here? God just loves speaking to me in the most amazing manner. i can never bring myself to draw away from you anymore.
you amaze me in the most amazing manner. you gave me a life filled with so much. you made me realise i cant live without you. and i just want to live a child in awe of you. cause you've captured me. and i'm just deeply in love with you, Jesus.
